Buy from one of these suggested brands this Christmas and support worthwhile mental health and other charities too. Take a look at these empowering slogans and feel uplifted!

This year has definitely not gone as planned. Understatement much? However, Christmas is just around the corner and I for one am looking forward to spending time with family and celebrating what’s gone right this year.

As an impulsive spender, buying Christmas presents is always tricky because I just want to spend all my money on getting my loved ones awesome gifts. My partner is the one who reigns me in and gives me a price limit!

If you’re looking to help local businesses and shop for good, here are a list of a few places that your money would be well spent.

Hope Tribe

Hope Tribe‘s mission is to ‘start a society-wide dialogue around mental health issues and stop the stigma surrounding it’. 10% of each sale is donated to a selection of mental health charities, which I think is pretty awesome. They sell men’s and women’s clothing with empowering slogans and in a great selection of colours. You get 10% off when you sign up to their newsletter too!

Pickle London

Beth Happy hoodieI’m in love with this brand! Run by Alison and Frances, Pickle London creates fun, gorgeous and quality t-shirts and jumpers to uplift the spirits and make buyers feel great. They also give £5 from every ‘Happy’ hoodie and £2.50 from every ‘Happy’ t-shirt to Mind, the mental health charity. As of winter 2020, their clothing has raised an incredible £80,000 for charity!

I’m the proud owner of 3 tops (two ‘Happy’ hoodies and one ‘Walkies’ jumper) and LOVE wearing them.

(AD-PR Product) Bear Hug Goods

Beth Rees Bear Hug Goods hoodieI’m so lucky to have been a brand ambassador for the lovely and very talented Victoria for the last month or so. Bear Hug Goods was created at the start of lockdown and has since sold many incredibly uplifting jumpers and t-shirts. This Boss Babe hoodie is a favourite as well as the pink ‘Woman Up’ one that helps me channel my inner Spice Girl! 10% of all sales is donated to Mind too. As a Mind volunteer, it’s been amazing to work with these guys and help them to shout about the amazing work they’re doing.

Dead Indigo

So, this is a new brand that I’ve discovered recently on Instagram and of course, love the fact that they also support the mental health charity, Hafal. Dead Indigo has collaborated on these amazing designs which feature the inspirational lyrics from the Ben Howard tune ‘Keep your head up’. You take a bit of positivity, wear it proudly on your chest and make a difference to the lives of those living with mental ill health.

Waves & Wild was started by the inspirational Lindsey during lockdown and is aimed at helping to calm eco-anxiety. 50% of profits go to a selection of incredible causes from marine to human charities who do amazing work.
